Asian Chilli Chicken Soup Bowl

A signature recipe by Nicola du Plessis, blending comfort, wellness, and glow. This warm,protein-rich soup fuses collagen broth with juicy chicken and subtle Asian spice — perfect for post-training recovery, skin nourishment, and gut healing.

Ingredients:

- 4 Chicken Breasts (≈ 480 g total),
  cooked & shredded

- 2 cups Chicken Bone Broth

- 1 cup Beef Bone Broth

- 4 cups Water

- 2 tsp Garlic Powder

- 2 tsp Italian Herbs

- 1–2 tsp Juiced Ginger

- 1 tsp Chilli Oil (adjust to taste)

- 1 heaped tbsp Reduced-Fat
   Cream Cheese

- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds

- 1 tsp Steak Spice

- 1–2 tsp Soy Sauce

- 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar

- Salt & Black Pepper, to taste

Optional Add-Ins:

Mushrooms, spinach, or spring onion

Method:

  • In a large pot, combine both broths and water. Bring to a gentle
    simmer.

  • Stir in garlic powder, Italian herbs, juiced ginger, steak spice, chilli oil,
    soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar.

  • Add shredded chicken breasts and simmer 6–8 minutes to infuse flavour.

  • Whisk in the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

  • Sprinkle sesame seeds, season with salt & pepper.

  • Serve warm and enjoy your glow-from-within, comfort-meets-wellness bowl.
